Jasmine S. Gaines,
also known as Sarah Serenity, is a Bridgeport, CT native and a recent graduate of Sacred Heart University having earned a bachelor's in health sciences.
At the young age of 12, through liberal arts studies, she discovered a passion for creative writing. However, it wasn’t until the decision to properly heal from a series of traumatic events during adolescence, that she penned her staple piece called “Release”, catapulting her desire to write more consistently. It was around this time that she had an encounter with the Holy Spirit, and was given her artist's name, Sarah Serenity. The name holds so much value due to her willingness to maintain peace when her life was in disarray. Her biggest inspiration is Maya Angelou, and she has hopes of being mentioned alongside the poetic phenomenon in years to come. Sarah’s purpose for writing is to motivate and encourage others to gain serenity, even in the midst of what seems to be the most impossible circumstances.
She believes that with God all things are possible, and hopes to convey messages of hope, love, and faith. Moreover, she intends to deliver prolific poetry while speaking her truth transparently yet comfortably.
